Sibling Voices Survey Infographic – Sibling Version
Findings and support ideas that remind siblings they are not alone.
You are not alone
The Sibling Voices study asked younger, teenage, and adult siblings about living with severe epilepsy in their family. This is an app-adapted overview of the sibling infographic.
Other siblings have difficult feelings too
More than half of all siblings in this infographic reported unhappiness at times or frequently. 54% of siblings ages 9–12 reported irritability, and 79% of that age group worried their sibling might die. These findings describe survey participants, not every sibling.
Your voice matters
The infographic encourages speaking with a trusted adult or healthcare professional, connecting with other siblings, and making room for your own interests and enjoyable activities.
Learning and talking together
Families can discuss rare epilepsy and what, if anything, a sibling would feel comfortable doing during an emergency. You can use the sibling plan to record your own preferences with a caregiver. Read the original for all findings and support ideas.
